This is a work in progress, need your ideas & input please!

First question, how many kids (under 18) will be at poops? anyone have a guess? I need to know if there will be enough participation for this to be a sucess. My youngest DD will for sure participate.

This is what I cam up with so far, lmk any thoughts, other catagories I should add & so on.

Amazing Egg Contest for Kids

Rules

The egg contest is for chicken eggs that are less than 30 days old.

Each child may enter up to 6 eggs.

Eggs will be assigned a number & placed on a table for viewing.

Voting will be available for all Poops attendees.

Each voter will pick the egg that they think is

Largest

Smallest

Prettiest

Darkest

Oddest

All votes will be totaled & the egg in each category with the most votes will be declared the winner.

Prizes still to be determined

Thanks Poco!

We have a lot of black buzzards and I've noticed my birds can't tell the difference between them and the red tail hawks we have here too. They see a shadow and they freak, better safe than sorry. Just noticed this behavior after the one duckling disapeared so pretty sure they have good reason to freak!

We have two turkey vultures hunting in our back pasture.  They look just like this photo I found on an Oklahoma birding website:

JCat, that's a great idea for the kids. I'd have *loved something like that when I was a kid. (I don't think they'd invented the chicken yet when I was young).
Laura, you have a baby duck!!! I just love how baby ducks look. I wish they weren't so messy.
Robin, I live by OceansEve and we see the red headed turkey buzzzards a lot. I looked them up before my husband decided to shoot them and they don't bother chickens. They're all black with strange looking red heads. They're pretty cool though.
This is my Bantam Faverolles Blue Salmon boy (jeez, that's a mouthful). I wanted this color really bad. He's got a long way to go, he's only 7 wks old. But isn't it amazing how much they change in just 5 short weeks??
