Sooner - Can you put screen names next to what people are bringing?  I think I said I'd bring potato salad, hanghead.gif but now I'm not sure if that's what I told you.

My duckweed may be struggling, but she approves of the child's swimming pool "pond"

A new color that bloomed this week, one of the possibilities in the POOPS iris roots.

Well all the birds are fed, watered and ready for the day.  We so far have 3 dry chicks, I took them out of the hatcher the others have been chirping but no one else has pipped.  Guineas I am considering a bust this time around.  But oh my Christina that white guinea you hatched for us is getting soooooo pretty!  Now off to dig up all my scrapbook stuff I am going cropping with my sister and neice tonight in Norman.  Haven't had much time for that lately.

Cjarvis, i forget that there are some others that have games, how are you on color genetics? i am not so much interested in the "game" as I am the color patterns i can get from this cross of Ginger Red and Grey(Silver), Also, i was under the understanding that it is hard to get a Pheasant to breed with chickens!? thanks, Lynn

Hi everyOkie!  I have enjoyed all the photos of birds and flowers.

Poco - has Naomi kidded yet?  I'll bet you're out there right now with her....

I started pulling bermuda out of my asparagus bed this morning.  It will probably take me a few days to finish that.  I took my old ugly plastic garden fence down this winter but haven't had time to put anything else up or to weed or plant this year.

Most of the pics I post I take w/ my Nikon d60 and a tamron lens, I also occasionally take pics w/ my husbands work camera a fuji point and shoot, tiny and portable easy to carry.

HPIM4693.JPGBeautiful! Iris are among my very favorite flowers and the photos are great! IRIS ROOTS = what a terrific idea for POOPS silent auction! I'd certainly bid on them! We have a lovely front garden but the early bulbs have all spent their flashes of glory. The roses still are going strong, but there is a sort of dearth of colour where the jonquils and daffodils were. I'll try to get a photo, but I only have an old HP camera that is kind of touchy. You'll be able to see where we need something else. This pic is herbal sage - which is a butterfly magnet! This sage bush is now 5 yrs old!

Son in Army - 3 deployments and getting ready for #4; Daughter passed Special Forces selection also getting ready for deployment; sweet husband from England, rest in peace; 2 reds hens, 3 little buff Orp pullets and 6 big fat buff Orp capons (thanks Coral - look out bugs!!) .. and... Life is good!  Still.  We sought and found alternative fencing!!
