So sorry Oceans.  It so hard when something like that happens.

Anyone looking for blue or white ameraucanas? There is someone on Craigslist selling a trio of each. I called and he wants $75 for each trio and they are a little less than a year old.  He says the whites are all white, no staining.

I forget who asked, but the temp on the quail eggs had got down to 85 before I caught it.  I am ordering a new thermometer this Fri that has alarms you can set for low and high temps.  Hopefully I won't have that happen again. I really do not think I could handle it.  I am still a mess.

Have a road trip planned for Friday already to collect some blues and black Ameraucanas or else I'd have been interested.  Getting some Wheaten Marans too.  Guess I've got a couple days to decide and build something for them. roll.png

I don't bother to count them anymore.    Thanks to "Chicken Math" I already know the answer will be 10-12.

Oh, Laura sad.pngsad.pngsad.png I'm so so sorry!
Nana, my money is on the Splash being the boy, too. Mine were over 6 months before they crowed!
Robin, I do have to wonder about someone selling "Salmon Faverolles" when they didn't spell either word right lol
Yes, it was Muesky looking for a white Ameraucana. I was thinking she wanted a hen but she was wanting a roo.
Kass, what are concubines? I saw you write that before and was confused then, too.
And my Dubia had a population explosion. The 3 day old Cochins and Orps had a frre for all! It took them an hour of running and chasing and pulling at each other's wings to eat 2 bugs lol! Man, they got viscious :-O Who'd a thought 3 day old chicks could be so mean lol.png

This year is our first backyard flock. Everything has been great and we are enjoying all of our birds. We have two EE's, two BR's and four straight run golden laced polish. The issue is that out of the four Polish, we got three boys. My urgency is to find them a home before they really start crowing. Being that we are in the city limits, unfortunately we can only have the girls around.

We purchased these fellas for ten $ each, and that is all I would ask for each one, or if someone has golden laced hens that would be willing to trade, that would be suitable too. The largest roo of the three is a real looker and the other two are just starting to have their crests fill in well.

If you have any other suggestions, or if you are interested, lemmie know. Thank you in advance to everyone. I'll post some pics as soon as I get them uploaded.

James

I'd like to say, welcome-byc.gif from the okie thread on the Oklahoma side.

Those 3 roos are good looking boys. I sure hope you can find a home for them before they get you in trouble.
