I showed up really late to Mary's this morning but still got to meet up with Greybear and Michael D. It was fun guys! Sorry I had to just rush around with my hair on fire. One day I'll get everyone up and around at a decent hour and we can just mosey.

Okay, guys. I need help solving a bantam mystery. Here are the facts. I have a chicken tractor in my front yard with one nest box. I gathered eggs yesterday evening out of the nest box leaving it empty. This morning I went to gather eggs and these two eggs were in the nest box. Currently there are two chickens in the chicken tractor, a black bantam silkie hen that I got from Poultryandbees at POOPS, and a bantam buff Cochin rooster that I got from mjgigax's husband at POOPS. So, I got nothing. What do you guys got?

Edited to add: Sometimes the rooster does sit in the nest box with the silkie.

I-35 to Hwy 9 west, (Riverwind Casino Exit). Travel west to first exit (just before turnpike access starts) Turn North travel about 5-6 miles it's the FFA building on the east side just south of the park. If you make it to sonic you went too far.

OEGB: Columbian, Opal, Birchen, Silver Blue, Brown Red

Rosecomb: Black, Birchen in development, Columbian in development, Opal in development.

Thanks. Can you tell me how it works? Do they have feeders and stuff like that? Does it sell first, last? Is it in lots, or can you buy one thing? I've never been. Also, I'm trying to decide if I'm running off to Dallas tonight or not.

Sorry to hear that news Don, I know you and Forrest had known each other for many years.  I sure thought a great deal of Forrest, he was bluntly honest and loved his horses and chickens (especially Langshans) and was a tireless promoter of the show poultry hobby.  We have lost a good friend and as unique a man as  ever lived.  So long Forrest, I know you are with the Lord Jesus and we will see each other again.

Breeding & showing black, blue, mottled, & white large cochins; black bantam cochins; gray toulouse geese.  Project Brown Red and Brown LF Cochins.  Birds for sale in the fall, eggs in the spring.  "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed." Jesus to Thomas recorded in the Gospel of John ch. 20 vs. 29.  Do you have to see to believe?
