Just liked those white Egret birds that hang around cows.   They can destroy five wooded acres in 5 months!  They are protected by international treaty.

I have them and I know several others on the thread do as well, I like them more than the other breeds they do seem to have more personality and I really enjoy how quiet they are LOL, It's funny when I go out to feed them they can't make enough noise to get your attention so a couple of mine will grab a pant leg and keep tugging on it till I let them eat out of the feed bucket and I have to watch Mildred she has made a couple more attempts to land on me since she first flew onto my forehead I try to anticipate her and catch her so One, she can actually perch somewhere stable and Two, so she don't take out an eye or send me to the emergency room needing stitches LOL So far I haven't been able to get her to land like I think she wants to, I'm just hoping that I'm not misreading her intent and she's actually saying to herself as she swoops in "Be an Eagle! Be an Eagle!!

I think Miss Priss is stunning too, but I can't take any credit, she and her black sister are from Oldcowboy.  My husband is not a very observant guy, doesn't notice changes to my hair color or cut or things like that, but the other day we were out doing something w/ the chickens or garden and he said "That is one pretty chicken"

Got some fresh veggies from Carl and Steph yesterday and also found my newest addiction droolin.gif Bread and Butter Jalapenos Thank you both the metal will come in handy just might have to wait till this heat breaks although it's already down to 97 must be a cold front moving through LOL

My hen had only 2 chicks so I gave her 10 more she was more than happy to call them straight to her and they were all pecking around in the dust like they had always been together.

I used to have them. I loved them. Want to get them again sometime if we can get a fence.

Hope everyone is staying cool

Well, day two of the hideous heat is going okay. The birds looked really hot when I went to refresh their water this afternoon, so I misted them lightly. No more panting and they all perked right up.
