Try a little Polyvisol (children's vitamin drops) without iron.  I give one or to drops from the eye dropper.   

Add yogurt and a few drops of honey on her food. 

When they hunker down with their necks to their shoulders, it could be cocci.  Do you have any Corid?   Tylon 50 shots?

ok, i gave  her baycox last nite, fantastic med a friend sent me from austrailia, actually 'cures' cocci, rather than supressing it, 2 drops in the water for 2 days, thats all they use down there.

so hopefully that will clear it up- she looks better today`

Casting for the movie will be announced next year, along with production and broadcast schedules.

I can't wait to see it. Mark Gatiss has written some really good stuff for the series. He's written four episodes, some novels, some audio plays. I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what they'll be doing in the series for the 50th anniversary special. I'm keeping all my appendages crossed for a multi-Doctor special with Paul McGann returning. (Oh, please, oh please, oh please, ohplease!)

Their next sale will be in the fall and will be cage free birds, so will be a little easier to adjust. The owner gave me a couple of leads for brown egg layers that are sold like these are. I'll relay the info as soon as I get it for both.

I think I really want to get some of the caged birds, as I feel sorriest for them. :/ I just wasn't set up for them this year and I didn't want to bring (yet another) group of birds home with no real plan for their housing and have to wing it (again!).

We had a guy call the ambulance once because he was "lonely". He just wanted the EMTs to have some milk and cookies with him. *facepalm*

 I don't even mind the lonely elderly people calling for someone to talk too, I feel so bad for them.  I do however get miffed at the fully functioning adult, healthy individuals who abuse the system.

Robin, the only thing we can do is load them in the ambulance and take them to the ER.  In our area and service we cannot triage pre ER and refuse transport, in our litigeous society it is way to risky. 

As annoying as it is for ems and er workers on a personal / professional level the real problem is the pervasive abuse of the system is breaking it financially and clogging up the works for those who really do need the er.  There have been studies showing the extent of the abuse in the system and it is everywhere, not just rural OK, but nationwide city and rural.  I don't remember the numbers but the fewest number of pts actually account for the highest number of visits and $$$$'s of billing that will either not be paid at all or by medicaid.  (drastically reduced amounts)  Drs are almost compelled to do expensive tests EVERYTIME these people come in out of fear of being sued, it is just sooooooooooooooooooo broken!!!!!!  The real trick is weeding out the people who really need the medical help from the abusers.

My son called one time when he was about 5 because he couldn't "find" me (he told them I was losted) ... which might have been legit had I not been carrying out the trash to the alley behind our house. Sigh. At least he was just a little kid and not an adult. Wow.

What an amazingly beautiful day in August in Oklahoma!!!! Had to get up a little early and call the plumber to come clean out the drain lines ... again ... We still have the old clay pipes and tree roots in this drought seem to just loooooooove drain water. Ugh. But it's done now and I can wash dishes again. Whoo Hoo!! Now the kids and I are gonna go out and let the birds run for awhile in the cool and clean out a couple of more garden beds so they are ready to plant this weekend. I don't think I'd realized how absolutely miserable all this HOT HOT HOT weather has made us. They were complaining at the Olympics in London that is was SO hot and it was 83 degrees. When it's 83 here we all spend as much time as we can outside doing stuff because it's so nice out. Ha!
