SAHM tips....Money saving tips??

What does everyone use to clean windows? Vinegar? Also how bout a home recipe for something to clean out bathtubs/showers? Right now I use scrubbing bubbles with a magic eraser and it works beautifully but would like something that I could make.

I have a spray bottle (well marked) that is 50/50 vinegar and distilled water. I use it on windows (with a microfiber towel) and counter tops. Cleans wonderfully! At first, you may see streaks on your window if you've been using regular window cleaner. After a few times, you won't. It's from the wax the commercial cleaners use. Here are some more uses for vinegar:

Does the vinegar smell linger long? I am not much for the smell of vinegar and don't really want my whole house to smell like it!

Cackey - here's a link to some of the homemade cleaners that I use http://chickensintheroad.com/house/crafts/simple-green-homemade-cleaners/. The window cleaner has white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and water. There's a few more recipes on there for other types of cleaners, too. I don't think that the vinegar scent lasts a long time. I use a vinegar/water solution to scrub my floors with and it doesn't seem to linger, either.

I also use 50/50 water/vinegar in a spray bottle and use newspaper to wipe the windows for a streak free shine...black and white pages only, no colored sales ads.

Borax or baking soda work great on soap scum in tub/shower....make a paste and put on sponge and wipe away.
