Where do y'all get your chicks? I am north of Tulsa and purchased my 6 at Atwoods 7 weeks ago.
All girls but my one Polish is looking rooish.
I really want a few more Polish girls. They've had no more at Atwoods. Also none of the staff there seems to know what breed any of their chicks are.
Would also like to find a few silkies.
The closest Tractor Supply is 50 miles from me. Do they always have chicks, worth my trip to go look? If I call ahead do you think they can tell me what breeds they have?
Anywhere else?
Thanks

After buying chicks from Tractor Supply originally, and buying chicks from local breeders this past year, I would encourage you to seek out a breeder or chicken enthusiast close to Tulsa. You should sign in to the Okies thread here on BYC and see who is close to you!

Good luck!

I would not recommend going out your way to TSC this late in the year. Personally of the feed stores, my Lumber 2 had the most identified varieties. But your best bet is to find the local breeders. Hop on to the Okie thread and repeat the messsage. We just had a great gathering of Okie breeders and all those chicks were available! Too bad ya missed it.
