beautiful birds!

I can see my birds favor the Cream Legbar traits.   The bird above, the second from the left, looks a lot like her.   Yet she is getting more red on her face than your pullets.  Her comb isn't quite like theirs.

Are your boys nice birds?   Is that a Legbar trait?

I find myself wanting a few Cream Legbar hens now.   I really don't have much more room but I am so addicted to chickens.   I really got it bad this year.

I love this bird.  It looks like this cross ended up with the "blue" gene.  This is one of my favorite chicken colors, and with the crest it is stunning.  My guess is female.  A male will get chestnut plumage on the shoulders of the wings, and the diluted gold (same color as hackle) on the saddles. This color should have come in at about 8-10 weeks of age, so if this bird hatched in March it is looking all girl.

Anniesmom---

Thanks for posting the pictures.  You got the full spectrum of crests...and all the pullets look healthy and bright-eyed.  The bottom picture, one in the center, has the appearance of the cream legbar females that I have seen in UK pictures...which has made me say that theirs look different than ours.

I guess you are showing the variations in crest from sleek to super-fluffy.
