Marans - SOP discussion thread

Blackbirds13, How about some pictures showing the entire bird. Maybe one from the side and one from the top.

Wynette I was wondering, originally you were going to sort through all the pictures and put matching DQ and fault pictures in the first post, is that still the plan? I am set to cull my batch of FBCM on Saturday that I have decided do not meet anywhere near SOP for a breeding program and I can take pictures of them at some point this week before we send them to the freezer. I have a split wing, yellow legs, etc, etc.

Hi, Rinda - this thread has really slowed down...yes, most definitely we can still do that, but I have lost track of where we ended with the project. I'd suggest posting pics in the Black Copper thread and asking for feedback there - there are lots of folks who have keen eyes and can help with any questions you have!

PERFECT- wish I had found that BEFORE I read all 40 pages here LOL!

Math ace I could see all the "fault" pictures but none of the last few- the "correct" pictures are not showing up, could you check that?

OK, I went back and checked.... Pictures showing examples of the good things was suppose to be step Two of the project.
When BYC went to the new system, it really became difficult for some of the regulars to get on BYC. Those of us that could get online, couldn't get pictures posted... Needless to say, that part of the project just fell by the wayside.

I remember that I promised pics. If you want to start this back up, I'll still help.
I even got a better camera. Not saying the pics will be any better....

Oops, just noticed all the faults were done, and you need the good pictures.
I dunno....

I am crazy busy with fairs and shows til the end of October.
Just bathed 28 birds. YEP.
Let me know what you need, will try.

Thanks for the offer Roberta, but I am just too busy with personal things right now to commit to that project. Perhaps, the end of October would be better timing for both of us
