Got two new chicks yesterday from the sme dealer i used for the first four. One has been making what looks like caecal poops but they also have clear, jelly like suff in it. Any ideas as to what it may be and if i need to do anything for that chick?

Im sorry i cant post pics at the moment- can only use iphone atm and byc wont let me upload from it. I can post pics later if necessary.

Thinking of medicating your birds? STOP!! Please research this forum before giving your birds meds. The wrong medicine can make a chicken worse. Your bird may not even be sick! Lots of normal chicken behaviors are mistaken for illness by new chicken keepers. THINK BEFORE YOU MEDICATE.

We bought 11 acres of farmland with lots of room for chickens! Chicken keeper for 3 years; flock of 30+.

Hard to say. Could be:

Heat
Not eating much
Drinking a lot
or stress from the move
Hopefully not illness

Here's some pics

Good luck

By the way forgot to ask what food you using and water?  if more water drinking will cause more watering poop...But tell me about your chicks diet..Maybe we cal ALL help and decide...Chicks are very delicate...maybe just a deference one way or other...
