I took a few pics today of my Olive Eggers. Mathematically, these ought to be "true-breeding" at this point, but that is still pending confirmation via further test-breeding - I can't yet be 100% certain there is no hidden Wheaten or other unknowns. This is by no means the conclusion, these only represents the start of of several larger, tangential projects for which these will serve as the base point, but anyway, here we are...
Unfortunately, I had to rehome the cockerels but I still have their dad and one B2 cockerel in asylum elsewhere so it's only a setback of time and not a total bust.
Is anybody else working on Olive Egger projects?
A quick word about stewardship - note that you do not see poop all over the chicken yard here and there is only one moulted feather on the ground. Poop and old feathers are breeding grounds for bacteria/viruses and that equals disease.
