need opinions.  adding a 6 in border and a smaller darker border to this or just leave it alone and put 6 in border?

Instead of shooting someone birds when they make you angry, blow them a kiss and smile instead.

Is it the white fabric pictured you are wanting to use as a 6 inch border?  I think the border is to big for the pattern. jmo

I tried for some time to come up w/ a pattern for crocheted tumbling blocks and never did.  I would have never thought of a granny square idea.  I am going to have to save that pic and see if I can enlarge it enough to make out details.

I agree with Kassanundra,  I would put a smaller one on first.  White would be nice, maybe 3 inches then if you want a bigger one that would be good.

I remember that swap.  I didn't participate, but thought about it.  Tried doing a gecko and decided it would take the rest of my natural life to make them all.

Surprisingly enough they only took about an hour each to applique.  I still have the blocks from that swap.  I didn't use them for this quilt as I wanted the colors to match his room so did my own.  I will make them up one of these days.
