The bird pictured in the first post does have hackel and saddle feathers. That's what those feathers are called regardless of size.

My apologies. I was merely trying to point out that the chick pictured doesn't have the long, skinny feathers that are associated with a rooster. I worded my post incorrectly.
The rooster picture I posted is not mine. Just a picture I googled that showed the feathers very well.
