In my experience, mini lops and Holland Lops have been the calmest and most gentle. My Netherlands were ok, but often hard to handle. It really depends more on the individual rabbit and how it is raised. If you get one as a baby and handle it frequently, it is going to make a better pet than one you get older that has not been handled. Rabbits can be amazingly gentle, friendly, clean pets. It's good to see they are becoming more popular.
Now, anyone in the market for Holland Lops? I have 2 litters coming up! lol

Get holland lop they are nice breeds. rabbits personalities (wow that's a long word!) aren't as define as say... A dog or porrot. But a wee different it also depends on how much handling and time you spend with your rabbit have a great time with your rabbit if you get one!

I've found lop breeds to be the friendliest. Holland Lops are very sweet and have a lot of personality, plus they are adorable.
My Lionheads are very hyper and high-strung, they can be sweet, but it takes more time to socialize them than Holland Lops.
A little bit larger breed is the Mini Lop which I grew up with. They were my me and my sister's first rabbits. Truly sweet, docile, friendly rabbits.
I have heard a lot about Mini Rex being the friendliest breed, but I can't speak from personal experience as I haven't owned one yet.

(around 4 week old Mini Lop x American Fuzzy Lops)

(Holland Lop. He's got the funniest personality out of all my rabbits)

(Holland Lop. She's due for a litter any second now. Docile personality)
