What the heck is this??

It's supposed to be a ringneck, it hatched from a ringneck egg. But I've not seen any this color??

Looks like it may be a melanistic ringneck. I had some last year that looked identical to what you have. I will get a pic taken later today and post it to give you an idea of what it will look like.

But it's brown?? With stripes?? I think it hatched from an egg that was supposed to be a 'snow' pheasant, but it certainly is not.

Okay, apparently my 'snow pheasant' eggs were not. Those eggs were more white than anything. A friend of mine seems to think it's a golden chick. So looks like I have 1 golden baby love

definately not a melanistic lol. they are black with white face and chest markings

I've had melanistics that were completely black (no white markings), then I've had some that were 'blackish red', also with no markings. But I'm sure it is a golden...now I just need to find some more smile

It look like Lady Amherst with the markings and the colorings.  It is identical to the ones I just hatched.

i looks like just to of mine but all of got is a trio of green melanistic ringnecks

pheasants, chickens, pigeons, turkeys, peacocks,valley and bobwhite quail, and making room for ducks
