Help for chicken diseases and illnesses...natural remedies that work!

Although my post is specifically about coryza, the remedies mentioned will help with just about any illness. Get and keep on hand: GSE (grapefruit seed extract), colloidal silver and MMS. You will not be sorry and all of these things are affordable and can be used by animals and humans alike. Try it next time you think you are coming down with a cold. Food poisoning? Colloidal silver ever 15 minutes for the first 4 doses and then hourly. We've got to start being more self-reliant and we'll be able to save a lot more of these animals.

For all of you out there, please go online now and order some GSE (grapefruit seed extract). This is a must have for chicken people! It has saved my entire flock (minus one but she died because she didn't get any!)

Almost every issue I am seeing can at least be helped by GSE. You just put some in their water daily. If they are not eating or drinking, you can force feed it.

I know I sound like a broken record and there will be some doubters out there, but just try it. Iherb.com has a small bottle for $13 and they have free shipping over $40 (so pick up some colloidal silver while you are at!) Even without free shipping, their shipping for this one item is $2/USPS or $4/UPS. For $15 you can have on hand something that will treat 400 chickens with 1 dose (at a 1 drop dose if you were force feeding). How can you beat that? I have no vested interest in this stuff. I am just a customer who found out it works. I brought a chicken back from the brink of death with GSE and I just want to get the word out so that everyone can have some on hand for when an emergency arrives. There is nothing worse than having to wait it out all night until the local feed store or TSC opens. If you get this, you won't have to.

I know this is an older thread but I thought I would post on it anyway. I used GSE when I did parrot rescue back in the late 90's/early 2000's (it was great for treating a variety of issues). I cleaned cages, food bowls, etc. with it. I didn't like using bleach because of the fumes/toxicity. I had to quit parrot rescue when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. One of my oncologists mentioned it to me (we were discussing natural remedies for various things when I was arguing against doing chemo - a battle I lost). I used it when I was doing laundry while my immune system was compromised. I used it for general cleaning, too, and managed to avoid getting any of the cold/flu bugs that were going around during my treatment (I work with the public and couldn't take time off during my treatments). I added it to my smoothies on occasion but didn't really focus on it as a dietary supplement.
In the turmoil of the years after I finished my treatments and everything else that was going on in my life, I packed the last bottle I had away and rarely gave it a thought. I didn't even think of it when I started with chickens! Now that I'm adding to the flock (chicks that are quarantined first), I will definitely be adding it to the cleaning/dietary regimen of my flock and coops.
