WHAT YA GOT SWAP Chat Thread - Page 1202

Oh yeah, Also while I was taking care of the garden tonight. My guineas were in there runs and like I said I knew I have 5 girls out of the 6. Well I heard the 6th one tonight. It is also a female. Go figure right. I sold all of them and kept 6 and the 6 that I keep are all females. Not that I am complaining but, now I need a male.  gig.gif This would never happen to me again in a million years. I usually sell all of my females and get stuck growing out all boys before I figure out the sex.  lol

If anyone is near me close enough in driving distance and has an extra male guinea. Please let me know. I have 6 lonely girls. Color is not an issue. I will take any color just as long as its a male so I can have fertile eggs when they start laying.

You want to kill fleas when you vacuum then cut a couple 1 in pieces of flea collar and place in the vacuum. This will kill the fleas that you remove from your carpet. You can also use a heated carpet cleaner as the hot water or steam will also kill them and the eggs. I prefer frontline over advantage but to each their own. Read the instructions for the advantage. With frontline if you wash the dog you need to wait 3 days to apply it. I do not know how long for advantage. But please do not mix your flea products, use one or the other. Trust me one of my customers lost her dog and another actually lost her cat to mixing flea products. The poor cat drop dead in her tub from using dip on it. Her husband was putting some store bought hartz like product on the cat and it wasn't working so she dipped the cat it was gone.

Thank you! I haven't put the Advantage on him yet... I've just been vacuuming and combing him after his flea bath which clearly didn't work based on the fleas that I'm still pulling off him. He's a mutt but I know for sure that he is some kind of hound dog, so he always has his nose to the ground and loves to go snooping through the field of tall grass. I'm guessing he's picking them up there, too. I will wait til tomorrow to apply the drops, as I just bathed him Sunday. I was hoping for a natural solution... I hate reading the cautions on the box and seeing that humans should wash hands immediately if any gets on the skin. But I'm applying this product straight on my dogs' skin... That can't be good for him, then either. *sigh*

Fully updated my side swap page. I'd really like a few chicks but can't afford to spend a lot of money by buying 15-25 chicks from places and don't want hatchery stock anyway nor do I want that many chicks.  If anyone would be so kind as to make a trade with me for some young chicks I'd greatly appreciate it sooo much.  I'd love to have some silkies, cochins, blk copper marans, etc. Small bantams or large fowl cochins.  If you see anything you like on my swap page just let me know. Thanks soo much. A few items say traded but they are now available again. I'll edit the page as time allows.

I was wanting hatching eggs but my incubator seems to be on the fritz at present so!

All I have are 2 chicks. I hatched out 2 partridge silkies and 1 sizzle. They all 3 looked so much alike I don't know which it was that I culled due to a leg issue. I think the other two may have dislocated it. But anyway these are about 2 weeks old now. They could both be partridge silkie and could be one of each. Our temps are cooler this week so it would be better to ship them now. But it also depends on where you are. It has to be decent temps on both ends. I think we have talked about this in PM's. I have some porcelain and buff eggs in the incubator now and the 2 porcelains are suppose to hatch on the21st and the others on the 30th. My last setting of buffs where clears. I'm hoping these are fertile. It could be because they need plucking and a show's coming up and I don't want to pluck them right now.  Anyway if you'd like to have the 2 and your temps aren't too high PM me and we'll talk.

I know I over spent big time this month. I misplaced money going to too many grocery stores and forgetting to write it down and lost track of $150 this month. So now I am busted. I have to figure out where to come up with $165 to replace my car windshield that the stupid tree branch smashed.
