How many bars can you fit into a medium flat rate box it should be 20 or more shoudnt it?

How has everyones weekend gone so far mine has been irritateing to say the least. Pretty sad in a way when while your dealing with family and friends life is pretty messed up and your unhappy but when you get on your chicken addiction website things are much better .

Well my second ride has fallen thru and I have chicks avalible. Does anyone want these guys. I have 1 Norwigan jearhon roo, 1 sweedish flower hen most likely a roo, 2 MF Duccles not sure sexes ether two hens or maybe a roo and a hen ??, and 2 cochin mixes as well as one little serama roo. .

All the people that were sapose to take these have fallen thru as far as I know . I have some people that say they want them but they want me to find a way with no licsnce and no car to travel over 100+ miles to bring them to them when they already have vhecals and can travel. So unless they contact me shortly saying there willing to come get them I dont think I should have to hold them for them then keep begging for a ride to the dang show ?? is that wrong of me.

No, it's not wrong of you.  Especially if you've told them up front that you have no way to get there.  If you know anybody heading that way, perhaps they would carry the birds for you?

I dont know anyone. Maybe its becuase I dont drive but I have always been completly stummped by why people can drive around all over by themselves in big old suv's and trucks and vans even cars and never carpool with anyone . Not only is it nice, beter for the planet but you would think with gas prices as horrible as they are that people would love the idea of shareing the gas exspense with someone . If I did drive I sure would want to split the costs with people

No! If these strangers want these birds they are to come to your door step! If they are good friends meeting halfway would be nice of you but never expected! Your much nicer than I! The only time I drove birds anywhere was when they were pre bought and I was heading to a swap..Or once when someone from another state asked if I could meet on the NY border an hour away...I said yes because the malls were 10 minutes from there AND the quad of birds I sold them paid for all the stuff I bought at the mall for my girls!:D Other than that...If you want them...come and get them?..thats my opinion...I am also very controlled when hatching...I have to be because of my area Id be screwed if I hatched like some of you maniacs! Lolololol

Yeah I thought I had all my ducks in a row befor I even started hatching , I had 5 people set up that said they wanted chicks and a few people asking parents or partners ect if they could have them. But most of them backed out. I can home just about any game birds as long as I dont mind some of them going for meat . Also have homes for my ducks if I get the eggs and any hatch but for some reason chickens around here are like trying to give out apts for root canals even if I give them away

Other than other BYCers who have become dear friends that I swap with frequently, I only have 1 or 2 customers that I do deliveries for, and THEY pay for my gas & time to make the deliveries. I often go places to pick up birds, especially for 1 customer in particular who buys a couple hundred dollars worth of birds at a time a couple times per month, but my customers ALWAYS pay extra when I do so. I also make anyone who wants anything held more than a couple hours or until the next day prepay AT LEAST HALF of the cost of the birds I'm holding for them. If they fail to pick-up by the agreed upon time/day & have not contacted me to make further arrangements the birds get held maybe 2-3 days just to make sure the buyer didn't have some kind of emergency arise that was beyond their control & then the birds go back up for sale & the person loses their deposit. May sound mean, but that's the way I HAVE to do it. I don't have money or space to keep a TON of extra birds for people who never show up to get them. Also, any time I have to do a pick-up of birds for someone, that entire amount has to be prepaid including my gas & time fees. Often I'm picking up birds that are $100 or more (peafowl & turkey breeders or SQ stock) for each pick-up & then have to turn around & deliver them the same or next day. I can't afford to get stuck with these big expensive birds nor can I afford to pay for them out of my own pocket. Therefore, I have to set up guidelines for what I can & can't do.

I just asked/told dh the car is going to have be stored elsewhere this winter because I need the space for grow outs. He said ok. I don't think he was really listening but I got the ok his friend has a barn we can put the car in. We just use the SUV or truck in the Winter.
