I wouldn't worry about it. What you had to offer was fine. Most of us are out of swaps till Sunday.  (Like me) I used all 3 of mine.  Please don't be shy to trade again. People just need to be a little patient is all.  I hope you are not scared to swap again.  hugs

I hope no one will be afraid to post their offers.  We are all different and have different tastes and wants.  I just hope everyone will be patient and not make anyone feel their offers are not wanted.

My Orps are laying at a tickle all of the sudden.  Some are molting and it has been pretty hot the last couple of weeks so maybe that is why they are not laying.  I am hoping they will pick back up soon.

So glad you liked them!  We're having a drought here, and everything's looking dead, and they are all blooming like crazy!! I will probably offer some more later, if anyone's interested b

I'm impatient. That's just me!  Lol!  I love seeing the offers, and love the super fast threads where you really have to jump in and post before someone snatches it up!  I've missed some things that I really wanted, (Horse head!!!  Lol!) and been able to get some awesome items.

I always stress when it's my turn to put up items. I worry no one wants them. It's part of it. Plus, there are times when I really want eggs, or something, and I can't get them, because I've only got one broody and no incubator!  Lol!

Should we post some ideas on here of specific things we're looking for?  Or things we collect?  I mean, I enjoy the surprise of what someone's posting the most, but what if someone doesn't know I collect chickens (duh!) or Boston Terriers?  Or antique cookbooks?  Or plants?  And they don't offer those things because they think they're junk?

Also, since I trade plants on a strictly plant-trading board, if anyone has any questions about preparing them for shipping, feel free to pm me. There are some tricks to it. wink

Anyway, just an idea. I'm really enjoying the swap. But I really really really need to get an idiot-proof incubator!tongue

Looking for standard Naked Necks. Please pm me if you have some birds or hatching eggs for sale!

Thanks for the update.

Some of my birds are laying but not many. Some are molting, others just finished being broody, and others just decided, "hey, I don't feel like laying anymore. Ugh. I did find out that my grey Silkies are blue, like I thought. The person I got them from said when I asked for 3 blue Silkie hens, "those are gray". I showed them to a breeder and she said they are blue. So, I have a slightly bearded splash roo over 3 blue hens.

Last night my wife and I went and picked up some Iowa Blues. There is a group in Iowa and surrounding areas working on breeding the Ia Blue back to what it should look like. They also want to make them more comon. Well, Kaei has a bunch of chicks from her flock that are looking very nice so she decided to sell her adults. She had 3 roos and 7 hens. She kept her worst hen, her worst rooster, and her roo that she had in the breeding pen. I got 6 hens and the roo she thinks is the best overall roo. She didn't sell me the roo used for breeding so we would all have slightly different genetics to swap. So, watch out. I will be offering Ia Blues in the future. They were free ranging and she hatched some that were pure and some Ameraucana Ia Blue crosses.

Check out the thread on Iowa Blues under Breeds and Genetics. They talk a lot about the breed and coloring. I have just read bits and pieces of the thread myself. If nothing else, send me a PM when you are ready and if they are laying I'd be up for some sort of trade.
