After Patty's comment on the main thread. I have this image in my mind of her leaning against her vehicle, with Sunglasses Favorite Roo on her shoulder.... bobbing her head. I think I should go lay down and get medicated. lmao

I started a thread in the dove section but no one has responded. Do any of you have suggestions on how I transition this guy from baby bird food slurry to seeds??

You could try putting bird seed in between sheets of waxed paper, then crush with a rolling pin. This breaks the husks so the baby can easily eat it. You will need to offer grit as well.

Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Speckled Sussex ,BBS Cochins, LF Polish,BLRW, OEG  (Mille fleur colored) ,Black Tailed Buff Japs, BB Reds, and Silkies The hens are laying!Check out my auctions on BSA for chicken  hatching eggs.

Thank you. Do you think it'll know to eat it or will I have to show it somehow? Or maybe mix in with the baby food?

You can show it by tapping with a finger, or let a chick show it how:-) Or put some of its usual food on a spoon and sprinkle seeds on. I used to be crazy with caged birds, had aviaries inside the house. Now at least they are outside .
