Mosquitoes are HORRIBLE--I have the solution!!

Since this thread came on, there has been discussion about it in my family. Although I cannot use it, I suggested to another part of my family to check it out. She, like me, is a mosquito maganet. She is reporting good results. We live here in the midwest with our spring and summer being so wet this 2011.

Although this thread is old, I feel I must agree with the last poster. For 5 months now I have been losing chickens to what I thought was Merkel's disease. However, the hens and one rooster seemed to get sick at different times, and usually when we have disease come through here it comes and is gone in a month (Eg Chicken Pox) Then someone on here said, what about poisoning. I made enquiries and yes, this product was used next door to kill cockroaches. My chickens love the dead cockroaches and have been eating them for over 9 months. It is painful to watch them die. I have left them as some seem to make a partial recovery even being able to rear chicks. None of my small chickens are affected. My feeling is that they cannot eat the large cockroaches that we have here.

There are insecticides labeled for use as crack and crevice sprays, and others for space spraying. There are some labeled for safe us on poultry as well as premises, and others strictly for premises. Premise treatments labeled for use on poultry premises, when mixed and applied according to label instructions, are safe once dry.

I have recently heard that Listerine in a spray bottle works. Don't know. Somebody try it and let me know. Thanks

We have a service, and they were using bifenthrin before we had chickens and it worked great. We've since switched to their organiorganic application and it works, just not as well. They say it is just a garlic mist.

Hi!

We are so grateful for your posting! We also live in Michigan and we have a swamp in our back yard area, the mosquitoes are monstrous! We also have two small girls and a dog, and 12 chickens, We love to be outside but this summer has been unbearable. We just went and purchased Wisdom from TSC and put it on today (before we read your post) and we very glad that it has such good comments. We were searching to see how long our dog had to stay inside after putting it on.

Thank you so much from one family to another.
