My Little Tykes Coop Village

Thanks to everyone's excellent ideas. My little village is now the home of 4 hens and 1 young rooster. Still have some predator proofing to do, and minor bits and pieces,but finally done!

I really do blame Farmville for my madness!!

One chick(that's me)! One black lab/aussie shepard, 2 mountain curs and 2 who knows, 2 EEs.. Butterscotch & Farrah, 4 Production Reds, 2 Plymouths, 1 Jersey Giant, 1 Orpington, 1 Buff Brahma, 1 Columbian Wyndotte, 3 white ones and 2 black ones....This changes daily!!!

I love this!!! I am constantly "recycling" all manner of things and find new, unintended, uses for them.

Proud dad and husband. Our GLW Laying Flock: 14 Laying Hens and 1 Gorgeous Roo. Plus 4 "Mutt" Layers. 3 Jumbo Pekin and 2 Rouen Ducks. 6 Female and 3 Male "Florida Giants" (Florida White/Flemish Giant Hybrid). Also 2 Large Beehives and Gardens galore!!


For pet: 2 Huge Pittbulls, 1 Huge Cat, and 1 little Florida White Rabbit.

Love it.  I am waiting for my kids to outgrow their 2 playhouses for this very idea, but darn my youngest is only turning 3 next month so I have a few years to wait.

I have to admit that is a neat idea. I build coops and i have to say im gonna borrow your idea too! So cool. I already have one sitting in the yard too. I just never thought about making it into a coop. My daughter is.gonna love it.
