Woman banned for life from Walmart Stores in the US

I wouldn't call myself an "extreme couponer" or "drastic", but I do subscribe to the paper to take advantage of the coupons.

The manufacture re-imburses the company who sold the product. In other words the company isn't losing money so they don't need to raise prices to cover for the "free items".

So touching is ok with them.

Why is it OK for a store manager to strike a customer? Why is that not illegal, but a secret declaration of trespass is a crime?

I have no sympathy for "extreme" couponing as it embraces many ethically dubious acts, but this is very clear. The WalMart store manager should have been arrested.

No he does not. Security is involved in dealing with thieves. The manager was involved in dealing with a customer. Had a store manager placed a finger on my spouse, he would surely have had to explain his injuries to the police. This being Texas, the manager would probably be jailed because "he had it coming".

If they slapped her it would be but the video shows no slap. My opinion, implied that she new she was banned from the store so she new she was trespassing by going back.

Would Mrs C be a suspect? What was her ulterior motive? She did create chaos when she refused to do something that the manager asked her to stop.

Yes people can be mouthy and manager should know when to back off or use tactful words or manners to defuse the situation. Would WM be above law to let managers slap people? They shouldn't be above law or they would be in heaps of trouble. WM has rules that employees AND customers has to follow that everyone can have a peaceful, orderly manner in a comfortable place to shop.

Security are just walmart employes. They have no power above anyone else. Management can do the same.

This is true. Technically, a Supreme Court once found that police may not break the law when enforcing it, but we all know where that precedent went.

In practice, law enforcement gets a free pass when overstepping the bounds of law. They frequently allow security guards to have some leeway as well, though it does vary widely.
