I vote gorgeous pullet. I have a Golden Cuckoo Marans pullet - she looks like your Buffy in the head, and then her barring turns black/white.  smile

Buffy is a difficult call, but I'm leaning 'pullet,' because she seems to have a bit more width to the buff on her barring than white, and the angle of the comb seems more female...but at 5 weeks that's a LOT of comb. It's a toss-up, really, but 51% leaning toward pullet.

Oh she is 9 weeks ~ and that is an interesting tidbit of information about her barring big_smile

-agrees- tough call ... her comb is quite a bit taller than my other orp but she still isn't showing wattles or any long feathering as of today.

our buffs seem to develop there combs much slower then our blacks all our black roos by 3-4 weeks have a good red comb but our buffs never can tell for sure till 12-15 weeks sometimes i hope it is a pullet we have 2 cuckoo pullets that are about 5-6 weeks old very friendly birds.

we do orpington's (blue ,black ,lavender ,white ,and buff) peafowl (1 silver pied cock,1 silver pied hen ,1 white hen ,1 indian blue cock) turkeys ( blue slates ) goats (2 alpine dairy femals)
