I will post my one Chinese goose up asap!  Just a Q.  My goose named General Lee is 5 weeks old now.  There is not much of a bump on the beak as of yet...does that mean female?

Current: Rouen/black Swedish X, 1 Pekin duck, 1 Welsh harlequin duck, 1 Blue Swedish duck, 1 white Danish goose, and 1 tufted buff goose!

So, is that 1 male and 3 females?

Here's mine.  They are about 8 weeks old, not sure of the sex but one is getting bigger than the other with a thicker neck so we think he is a male.  Their names were Duckie and Little Foot from the movies Land Before Time, but we've changed the name of the one that we think is a male to Mr. Magoo.  He doesn't see too good.  Not blind but close to it.

Beautiful geese you all have.

We got ours from Ideal Poultry back in the spring.  Ordered a male and 2 females.  I guess the biggest one is the male.  He seems to keep lookout more and make sure the other two get plenty to eat first, especially if I am feeding them from a cup.

I'll see if I can get some pictures on here in the next day or so.

Speckled Sussex.  I have a link on my homepage to some pictures of them.

I have only had geese for close to a week. So far they have been a big enjoyment to me. From the research that I have done by eight weeks of age you should be able to tell their sex by their nobs. I think the male will have a larger on than the female not entirely sure hide ( have to make assumptions all info on sexing them just says by the size of their nobs ) Here is on of the links that helped me gather my info: http://www.avianweb.com/chinesegeese.html

I have white Chinese who are 4 months old and neither have a bump yet so I'm not sure when they get it.

Question-do all geese have the yellow rim around the eye? Or is it breed specific? Mine have them and they are very very yellow.

Here is our 5 week old little girl (we think) Lucy

She is a little older now so she looks so much different!! Just to be clear, the kenel is not so much for her but to keep one of our dogs away while we socialize them. She is free in the house and when we are close by with the dog clear. They are getting better.
