I use the fine shavings TSC sells (white bag). Though lately they have not been fine, I have gotten large chunks of sharp wood in them that I have taken out. Hmm I can get the movies to come up, maybe because they are large. They do play using quicktime. :(

April and Nine are so cute!

I was able to watch the movies!! pop.gif Apparently I had to update my Quicktime player. And I had to be more patient (because it did take a while to load). Your geese are so pretty! I love their coloring.

tigerluv700, Try updating your Quicktime player (or if you dont have it, you can download it for free via
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download)

Also, there were some extra characters on the 2nd video link ("http" is on there twice). Should work if you click here http://boxedcow.com/Goobers/IMG_0813.MOV

boxedcow, I like the little set up you have inside their house, with the shavings. At the moment, we havent put shavings inside their house because of the way our goose coop is set up. But we have some left over that we used when they were babies. Right now, going "shaving-less" is working out because its a lot cooler in their house (living in FL), and its easy to clean with a hose. I'm thinking that come winter, we're probably going to have to put shavings on their floor.  My question is, how hard is it to clean? And how often to you remove ALL the shavings to replace them with new bedding?

downsize (1).jpgHi!  We just got a baby gosling from a wild live rehab.  some one found it in their back yard and turned it in.  They only deal with wild so she called me.  any ideas on age or breed.  It has zero feathers.  They lady has had it for a week, so I know it is at least a week old.downsize (2).jpg

How does everyone like their white Chinese geese?  There are some for sale on CL and I'm thinking about it....

These were 2nd on my list. We opted for the Brown African- my husband liked their size and roundedness more? But I did read the Chinese are big talkers. So if you don't have any close neighbors to annoy- I think they are sooooo pretty! I know there are some people here who have them- hope they see this! :D
