DIATOMACEOUS EARTH...Does It Work??? Fleas, Ticks, Lice, Internal? - Page 3

This is what the company sent us, this is what they use and what we use. We have also used it on our cat and a foster kitten and it has worked great! I will get the dosage for the chickens as well smile We also have the dosage for Horses/Cattle/Dairy Cows/Hogs/Goat/Sheep big_smile If anyone is interested in this as well wink

"Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is extremely effective for, Dogs, Cats, Horses, Goats, Rabbits, Llamas, Skunks, Cows, raccoons, Ferrets, Pigs, Birds, Guinea Pigs, People, Ect. Feeding the proper amount of DE on a daily basis will afford the greatest benefit. Daily feeding allows yours animals to receive the most nutrition possible from their feed without "sharing" nutrition with unwanted pests. Don't be overly concerned with exact measurements! There are no side effects. **use "heaping" teaspoon or tablespoon.

Dogs and Cats may balk at having DE sprinkled directly onto dry food. After awhile they will adjust and often lick the bowl! To make life easier add DE to wet food and mix thoroughly then add in the kibble. Your dogs and cats will happily eat it up and you will know they got the amount they needed. If dealing with a worm infestation or tapeworms, double the dose for the first 30 days. The double dose should be fed in ONE meal. We put DE in kitten or puppy food as soon as they start eating on their own.

Cats 1 Teaspoon         Kittens 1/2 Teaspoon

Puppies 1/2 Teaspoon      Mini Dogs  1 Teaspoon     Dog Under 50 Pounds 2 Teaspoons

Dogs 50 to 100 Pounds  1 Tablespoon    Dogs 100 lbs. & up 2 Tablespoons

it has always worked for me! i also feed it to them and it helps their egg production ALOT!!! i also mix it into my water and drink it, helps lower cholesterol and prevents sicknesses and helps you loose weight.

I raise Speckled Sussex, Dark Brahmas, Ameraucanas, and Rhode Island Reds. I also raise Pearl Guineas. I have been raising poultry for 10 yrs. I have experience with Turkeys, Ducks, Quail, Pheasants, and Pigs. I wouldn't  trade the country life for nothing.

I'm sure that veterinarians recommend DE to worm dogs and pets...they must make a mint selling it as a wormer.

How come doctors dont precribe it as a cholesterol lowering product? Surely they could make a profit off it? Prevents sickness; please tell your doctor that the next time you make a visit. Lose weight...yes, I agree...since it is silica, it'll will pass right on through you out the other end!

Works great here in Western Washington as long as you can keep your coop and part of the pen dry.
