Isbar thread

Just to open on honest discussion, What is the persentage that are dying while young for each of you? For your Isbars who are full grown, Are they strong and vigorous health wise? Or do they require vitamin's, special feed, or unique housing? (as a breeding newbie) How often/can you breed brother to sister, or Father to daughter? I ask so that I will know how to handle them once I get my own.
I'm sure that like all the other breeds, we want this one to be recognized, respected and loved. (how can they help it once they've seen them<3) I lost one out of my ten Cali Whites at about 4 weeks for no reason I could find. This happens with all breeds, but I haven't seen it discussed here yet.

I have only hatched 2 from mine and both are very healthy(and probably cockerals). My adults require nothing and appear very healthy as well. I had issues with a Breda from greenfire but once I pulled her from my breeding pen I stopped getting the missing toenails etc from the chicks.

Hi Everyone,
I have happy news! I put a post on Friday about my one chick that hatched but could not stay right. She was my only one who hatched out of 22 eggs. I thought for sure she was a goner! But, with a lot of love, hand feeding, vitamins and electrolytes, went from this:

To a happy, very opinionated chick who has found her feet!

I am cautiously optimistic! She is eating and drinking on her own now. She is still learning to walk, but with every step she gets better :)

G-Man, What Beautiful birds:) Love them!! Do you have others or will little miss blue be by herself with two Roo's?

Thank you.. I adore these birds.. they are such a sweet breed.

I actually have another black hen that I hatched out about a month earlier than these three, but I couldn't find her baby picture at the time of this post; she's 4 months old now.
She had a partner (another black one) but it didn't live for very long after hatch.. so I bought a couple of Welsummer chicks (hens) to keep her company. Then I tried shipped eggs again and was rewarded with the two blues that I am going to keep and the little black cockerel in the images above which I would like to re-home.
Next year after they've been laying for awhile I'll try again ... I'm really hoping for a splash hen, they are just so pretty.

Thank you again for the very nice compliment.
