WHen you say "khaki" do you mean tan or greenish khaki?

Greenfire FArms, IMO, did a huge disservice to the breed by messing with the pictures the used to advertise the egg color. Mine most definitely lay "green" and I do believe "moss green" (I think that's what Greenfire describes them as) is a good way to describe them; to me, they are a grayish green, like the moss/lichen on a tree. I have not personally seen any that I feel are a DARK green.

They are definitely lovely eggs, but not nearly the shade that has been advertised for them.

like a tan kinda khaki. GOOD EGGS BUT NOT what I was wanting color wise from them, would you be willing to swap some eggs for two things.on my page?

fever, mine aren't super green, either...and I don't have any I can swap now. I don't use lights on my birds, and I'm barely getting any eggs now. Sigh.

It makes me wonder - does ANYONE get darker green eggs from their Isbars?

Color can be a subjective thing. We need a color chart for them like the Marans egg chart!

My Isbar lays a khaki green egg. If she lays today, I'll try to take a pic of it to post.

Anyway, nope still albino white here, never one to tan. But I spent two straight weeks lieing on a sofa and reading to my heart's content with the ocean in the background.................bliss. At home, my head hits a pillow and within 2 minutes I'm thinking...."I should be doing (fill in the blank)!"

Haven't even walked out to the chickens yet, got home last night at 2am. I'm on my way out the door now.

That sounds like my kind of vacation! I love to read at the beach! My family just doesn't quite get it.

One cool thing we are using over on the Cream Legbar thread is a chart called The Online Auction Color Chart. ChicKat found it and said it is cheap to order a bunch and then distribute them. We can use them to compare egg colors, feather colors, etc. It is really a neat thing. People from across the country can say, my eggs are oc123, and another can say that's interesting, mine are a little lighter than oac151. And you can see right there exactly which color it is.
