When do Wyandottes generally start laying?

Pics
I have a SLW that is supposed to be about 8 months old. Was told she was 3 months when I got her the end of May. We had a pretty tough summer with heat and humidity, so I thought she may be delayed because of it. Now I’m wondering if it will be spring before she lays. Here’s a photo of her. What do you all think?

mine are 14 weeks and I think that one of mine squatted. it kinda stooped down and kinda spread her wings out a little bit- just holding them away from her body. Is that squatting or was she just trying to stop me picking her up. It sounds quite early, which is why it may be her just not wanting me to pick her up..... but im not sure as this is my first time with chickens, so i don't know what squatting looks like. little help?
Try to gentry stroke her spine, maybe give her a little feather tossle, until she decides to shake your attention off. I’ve been told this stimulates their laying hormones. When they mate with their rooster this squatting pose is ‘the position’. I don’t have a rooster, so I haven’t witnessed this, but I’m pretty certain they aren’t looking to be picked up, or not, when doing this. Good luck!!
