My young LS - getting big now.

I once had 2 roosters and only the dominate one crowed.  Every time the other one tried he got attacked, so I think it is normal.  It is also normal for a female to mount another female out of dominance, but I don't think this is the case for yours.  Also--you can tell that they are actually breeding or not.

That might just be what it is!! He wasn't liked much by all the chooks when I brought him home and I never knew why, yes they were definitly doing the deed

Love your Kelpie! Are Kelpies good in among the flock or do you just use your Kelpie to keep varmints away?
Thinking of one when all our smooth collies eventually pass.

I cant't let this particular Kelpie in with the chickens yet - she wants to "play' with them too much.
Hopefully when she matures she will ignore them like my old Koolie does.

She is great at chasing foxes though.

It's all very well to tell us that they are great, but what makes them great??????????
Laying, brooding, eating, temperament, etc etc..I would like to know more about how many eggs they lay and are they good brooders??

Thanks
