my chick pipped but wouldnt come out for three days ! so i took the shell off and there is a big chunk of eggshell stuck to it

Where is the egg shell?  How big?  If it's not in the abdominal area, you could get a moistened Q-tip and try to gently moisten it so it will loosen.  Have all of the other chicks hatched yet.  If not, you can wait until they do.

I have a mail order chick with piece stuck to its abdominal area(umbilical area) I'm almost certain, tried soaking for about 10 mins in warm water, it won't budge. I chipped away some of it with clippers but I can't get anymore of just the "shell" part, the scabs definitely attached... Ideas? Should I just let it be a while? Eating and drinking just like the others.
