candling blue eggs, can't manage to throw them out!! Help!

Some people say it is hard to candle blue eggs. What does it look like? It seems like I can see lots of light coming through the eggs, but is it possible that the thick blue egg shell is masking the veining? One of 6 duck eggs is alive and kicking, so obviously healthy. The other five glow with shadows, but they are from different ducks. The shells seem thicker.

It's day 12, and I can't bring myself to throw them out. What if I'm wrong!!!!
 
I just wanted to bump this back up. What I really want to know is when you candle a blue egg and aren't sure if it's good, what does it look like (assuming that it later hatches) Do you see shadows or what? Can you see the light coming through but just not see the veins?
 
It could look like anything. It will depend on the the shade of blue, the thickness of the egg, the placement of the embryo. No one will really be able to give you the 'correct' answer. You may sometimes see a shadow, a lump, some veins. Every egg may be different. Bottom line is the unless you smell something bad or see something coming from it, leave it alone. It will not hurt anything to leave an egg in the incubator that is not going to hatch. Better safe than sorry. I hoping your shadows are babies.
 
I was convinced for the longest time that my blue egg was no good- I never could see any veining, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and my chick is ten days old now.

I think the blue hides veining very well, hang in there and maybe at the next candling you will see your shadows dancing.

I've got a greenish/blue egg that I cannot see inside of AT ALL. I mean the shell has got to be really thick or it's just the color throwing me off, but I've got a nice dark brown egg that I can see right threw.... just not that EE egg.

I'm getting the feeling that I should just put them back under the hen. Problem is, she has four babies now and isn't really interested in sitting all the time anymore. I don't have an incubator, and I don't know if some of these eggs are duds or near to hatching!

i had the same problem with my chickens blue eggs. If you can see completely through them with no dark inside throw them out, but if there's some shadowing don't take the risk keep em'. it can't hurt right?
