Thats what we're going to do...
We're going to bring her to the vets just to get weighed..(so i know how much meds she can safely have)
then while i'm there i'll have a tech ask the vet how much to give her.
Thanks!

A 50+ lb dog gets an adult human dosage.  Give her one Dramamine.

The pack:
1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Cochin, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Black Australorp, 1 Plymouth Barred Rock
3 rescued pit bull mutts
2 humans

As a HUMAN who gets baaaaad car sickness, I would definitely recommend Dramamine- NOT benadryl. I always get the drowsy kind too because it is nice to sleep through the trip. I can imagine that would make it less stressful for the dog too. I usually take two pills at a time but for a 50-60 lb dog I'd say one would work perfectly

I'm pretty sure that not being able to see out makes the car sickness worse.

I would say one Dramamine would work.  If you can get a vet to give you some Reglan, it is really good for nausea.

Non-drowsy is just half the dosage.  It is the same drug, just less of it so it will be half as effective.

The pack:
1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Cochin, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Black Australorp, 1 Plymouth Barred Rock
3 rescued pit bull mutts
2 humans
