It took a while to soften the eyelids with water so that I could spread them apart. I held her with a damp cloth over her eye for about 20 minutes and then was able to manipulate the mass from the outside gently pushing toward the slit. There was one big mass about the size of a snail that came out, I thought that might be it but in further inspection I noticed some more white poking out from under some of her tissue. It was smaller so i used a dry Cotton ear bud which sort of stuck to the other piece and i managed to pull that out as well. After all that i still couldn't see her eye but I've let the girl alone for now. She's separated from the rest of the flock.
I feel like she may have had a bit of a fever. She seemed warmer than usual to me.

I'm on a remote island and have no access to antibiotics so I will have to just wait this out. I just wanted to give my experience and share how I removed it....and the fate of the bird as it unfolds.
