Mine are pretty orange too and I love it! The girls aren't getting many bugs here because it's winter, but they probably get a fair bit of protein in their mash I expect. (And definitely no access to marigolds. )

Those were our first ever eggs so the whole finding/cooking/eating was a bit of a special thing for us.
