Actually, eenie, I am sympathetic. I've never really courted the limelight; always been happiest buried in the chorus. My nerves always sabotaged me whenever I sang solos. When you realize what the professional performers put themselves through, you wonder why anyone does it!

Take care of that sore throat. I know there are some nasty colds still making the rounds - both of my kids have just recovered from one.

Saying, "Break a leg" always feels so weird to me.  The Princess demands that I do so every time she leaves for a performance.  Deep inside I harbor this fear that one day she will break a leg and I will have wished that  upon her.

  Whenever anybody says "break a leg" I worry that I will, but when they say "good luck" I worry that I'll have bad luck. Let's just hope I don't walk under a ladder while they're painting the set.

"Theater" is her thing and has been for our entire lfe together.  She just had two great roles the past year:  Ethel in 'On Golden Pond' and Ouizer in 'Steel Magnolias'.  She also directs, reviews and helps out backstage.  I know I am somewhat prejudiced, but she is quite good.

Very, very cool! She's lucky that you're so supportive; it's impossible to enjoy something so time-consuming if those close to you don't want you doing it.

 It's funny that you said that about being prejudiced... My mother is my worst critic.
