Here's the recipe- http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/cake/black-magic-cake-best-chocolate-cake-ever-5.html

And yes, you're all invited, if you can get here in the next five hours. Go!

Going outside didn't work well. Daughter and I jumped on the

golf cart and didn't even make one full pass through the woods

before it began raining.

We did stop and look at the neighbors cows though. We looked

at them and they looked at us.

And I sure do like dark choclate cake, Tani. It's one of my favorites.

But who am I fooling...every cake is my favorite.

Backing up, greem tomatoes is all I have so far also. Lots of cukes,

just green tomatoes. But a bunch of them. Planted late. And I'm not

sure that heat wave was helping much.

Spook ...back in the dry

Tani,

That cake packs a caffeine punch!  I don't have coffee, so I can't attempt it today - maybe I'll just stick to brownies today.

Tani, once again, Happy Birthday. celebrate.gif

And as for that cake - droolin.gif

Tani, a very happy Birthday to you! Enjoy your day.

Sour, I'm proud of you! Access to a shovel and no digging deep holes is amazing. I guess I need to go back to chasing ambulances!

Goofy question of the day:

When eating a fresh cucumber, are you supposed to peel it

first? Or eat peeling and all?

I've seen it served both ways.

How do you do it?

Spook...who peels his cucumbers

**Fried cucumbers are good also. Sort of like fried green tomatoes.

Sour, for some reason I don't doubt that a bit!!  I may even have to start offering you a repeat customer discount at some point.

I only peel cucumbers if the peel tastes bitter.  My little one likes just eating them raw and whole (kind of like an apple, I guess).  He also begged me to plant zucchini this year, which he also eats raw.  I know, I've got odd kids.  When my oldest daughter was little (about 2 or 3) she used to cry if I didn't serve broccoli EVERY dinner.
