He would turn over in his cage and say " pet me, my pet" over and over.  I would do just that.  He would then right himself and thank me.  I was near broken hearted when someone bought him.

Saddest story ever.  Seriously though, I hate that feeling.  Happy they went to a home, but heartbroken it wasn't with you.

WE had a police raid a house in our town yesterday. A lady had over a hundred parrot type birds in her house. They said they were living in their own filth and not taken care of. She operated as a breeding business. So now they are calling her a bird mill! I have mixed feelings sbout this. The "humane" people around here are always raiding peoples dog"mills" here. Take all their animals away call it good humanitarian work. Thing is you never see any of theses animals go up for adoption. They just "disappear"I think its a w3ay for a few people to get animals they don't have to pay for. They said theses birds would be found"homes" or put up for adoption. Who are these "found homes" people. Proably disgruntled customers of or competitors of her. I'm all for the birds being taken care of right but just don't like that its always something sneaky about the final destination of the birds and animals. Are there ways to make the "rescuers" account for the where abouts of every thing they take? Any legal brains out there that can shed light on this?
