Small black chicken with white spots

Thread Starter

I'm new to chickens and would like to get a chicken I saw at a fair once, but I don't know what type it was.  It was small and black with white spots.  Does anyone have suggestions as to what it might have been?

Do a search on Silver Spangled Hamburgs or Silver Sebright.  Oops, sorry they're white with black spots.  Try mottled chickens.

It might be an Ancona.  Here's a photo of my Ancona, Oreo.  Oreo laid her first egg today!
