Purina Layena PLUS Omega-3 Poultry Feed

Most of us realize that free ranging chickens would be best. Some of us can't free range no matter how badly we want to. That is the reason for trying to provide the best feed we possibly can.

If I was to free range my hens, they would not live for more than a couple of hours.

I bought a bag because I was hoping the Omegas would help with the hatch rate for my Cream Legbars. The only way I could get them to eat it was fermented. And then they weren't all that pleased with it.

Find a good Breeder Feed, it has all the extra proteins, vitamins and minerals they need for a better hatch rate.
Most good game bird feeds come in a Breeder Feed.

My girls love this feed. I have layers and a small flock of 14 including Silver and Gold Wyandotte, Rhode Island Reds, Light Brahmas, Buff Orpingtons, and Easter Eggers. Im still getting good amounts of beautiful eggs in November without adding light yet. Nice hard shells too. Im in Kansa and pay 14.95 with tax for 40 pounds. For my girls its a keeper!

My daughter has10 hens 5 Buff Orpington and 5 Barred Rock.

She got tired of the tase of the eggs when
she fed
(1) the cheapest poultry crumbles
(2)the high priced Organic chicken feed
(3) Pelleted chicken feed (chickens did not eat it only waseted it)
(4) so she bought and is still feeing the Purina Omega chicken feed.

which gives us great tasting eggs and all the hens are laying most every day.

Is the feed organic
No, I used it last Summer. 20170821_192954.jpg . GC
