HENRICO Co, VIRGINIA ~ Need help/support/direction

Sorry a lot material but I'm covering over 80 years activities "know virginia various locations including Henrico (new laws and adjustments) the rule was 6 months maintain livestock grandfather clause state but there is a R zone a type a residential county only that you maintain livestock but the shortest time absent livestock is somewhere between.(3days or 2 weeks pending the time frame you have or defend against sub-division arguments) You think federal out-weights state and state out weights local citations and/or code but over the years they're placed laws some state legal litigation cancels out states authority over it's very laws. Blame money drive corporations and government hike market values and revenues hidden with job or economic development. Even if attacks your economic development right defend but viewed enemy over interest of many.

As said If you win permit please know about small farms vandalised/livestock stolen, injured or killed push these properties for commercial or residential development. Wary next county having urban sprawl chesterfield, VA had horses were shot at (often delinquents sometimes coerced other reasons: neighbor dispute property values or etc.) These development advertise jobs in a economic downturn jobs becareful all this activity knew about per grandparents era 1930's to present. As counterintuitive defense know your animal protection laws if harm comes your feathered lovelys cite them you get action as means worth the money prove strong penalty $$$$ or raked up jail-time as a serious offense worth taking & make noise. Move livestock back fast after a loss advertise news noise attack show injured or new cute chicks for community support. I'm sorry didn't know till years later long lost 300 acre farm to sprawl.

Hi! I was wondering what ending up happening with your chickens. We have had our chickens for three years and have had no issues. All the neighbors have been more than fine with it. But then today we had an inspector come out and say that we aren't zoned for them and that they received a complaint. I have a feeling it is my neighbors next door because they are selling their house and are worried about it. Just wondering how to proceed and see if this a fight I can win. We live on a 3/4 acre lot and have plenty of space for chickens :(

We so sorry I never saw this! Actually after that experience and all the research I did, going to town meeting, presenting info and such-honesty we actually moved! Long story, but that truly was the end result! Seems pathetic to even say this, yet it really soured one of our kids on people and neighbors-like they couldn't come and talk it over with us, but instead report it to the township!

Ugh!
