I can respect the feelings of others, insofar that those others are not people who are ruled by their feelings. This forum has become overrun with people who seem to do nothing but complain that their lives are horrible, boys won't pay any attention to them, their parents are mean, etc. etc... and then do nothing at all to change that. Great, I get it, they're sad. But maybe they could feel better if they, oh I dunno, stopped moping and actually change something?!?!? Maybe try to act more confident, and the opposite sex will respect that. Try listening to the parents for once, they are actually right most of the time. Go play with your pets or younger siblings. Life is what we make of it, and if you want it to be better, make it better. But if a person cannot see that, that person does not have my respect.

I agree with you regarding most of that, however that is our own opinions and it is not our place to force them on other people. We should be mentoring and advising those younger and less mature than ourselves, in a way that is kind. There are times when strict reprimands are in order, however this is not one of those times. You don't have to respect someone to treat them with decency.
