I did a lot of research online.  BYC had many threads that helped describe how to do it.  Here is something I found on BYC that was VERY helpful....

Thanks, everyone!  I'll keep you all posted.  She is doing well this morning.  I fed her some egg and she was SO happy to eat.  She is looking really good so far.  fl

Another newbie in NW CT, wanted to introduce myself, always looking to meet others with more experience then myself.

most of the time it is from eating alot of grass with out having enough grit we have had a few get it last year when they were in there coop an we did not get them enough grit when the free range not a problem they will find some grit.nice work  way to go not easy to do.hopeing she recovers well

we work with black,blue,buff,lavender,an white orpingtons,,blue slate turkeys, siver pied  an white peacocks an 2 alpine dairy goats we raise them all on horseshoe hill poultry farm in mansfield connecticut.
