Ha ha, I didn't think anyone else bought that stuff. We had to get some emergency food after our Purina ended up having grain mites in it, and the newest bag at Agway was from January. Low turnover?

If you were down the road I'd take that extra off your hands! Probably a bit far though.

how much did you get? I have 5  two week old chicks so don't need a huge amount either.

I thought I was the only one. The feed store didn't give me any options, just told me that I needed this, this & this. I only have 4 chicks with no intentions of getting any more. I don't buy this much dog food for 5 dogs. At least I know that I can recycle it here.

Saw this on craigslist in Branford = free = and with some tweaking could make a fine coop!

or a nice easy add on to an existing  coop.

If  only had a way to transport it

I have about a 1/3 of a 50 lb bag you can have if you want it. I don't know what I was thinking buying the big bag. PM me if you want it.

Hi everyone!! Finally joined BYC!!! I am in central CT. Received my 5 baby chicks last summer and they are all grown and laying now. The are the Belgian D'UCCLE Mille Fleurs. Actually 2 are broody now and was wondering if any one local had some fertilized eggsfl.gif....Don't mind the breed, was going to expand the flock next year with new breeds. But since these two are broody and are being very difficult in breaking the broodiness I figure we would give it a go!!

Welcome! I agree that some times it's better to give into nature. Where are you? Beth G has lovely eggs and she is in Bethany. Give her a shout out.
