Hi everyone!  I will be hatching silkie chicks from my SQ stock this September for local sale only.  I am in the Killingly area.  I have black (from all black parents), bbs, and buff (possibly).  If interested, let me know via PM or email me at sensationalsilkies@yahoo.com.  Check out my website and facebook page for pictures and show results. :)

Do you have any local children's programs where the kids raise chicks around you. Right about now they usually have half grown chickens that need a home. The one around here is Ambler Farm in Wilton. The farmer was thrilled for me to take a couple 2 month old EEs off her hands.

I have a 4 month old Barred Rock rooster that needs a good home. He has started to get vocal and the neighbors works the night shift there for needs to sleep during the day.  I am trying to keep the peace by re-homing him.  Any local takers?  Pics upon request.

Planning on posting up in the classified section too, but thought more local peeps would see it here.

Hey all,

Had my talk tonight called "How to Raise Backyard Chickens" at the Somers Public Library. I think it was a great success!

I mentioned this web site so we might see a lot of new members from Connecticut.

Yeah!

trying to change zoning laws. I was able to raise $15. Now I only have $170 to go! To apply for the zone change
