I will be there the entire time, since I am exhibiting my ranch's heritage livestock, Dorkings & olive oil. I'd love to meet up.

I have a question, since I never show. After the judging is finished, is there any way to have breed information displayed with the chickens?

I know that you don't see this at poultry shows, but the idea of this show is to display rare or heritage breeds. People will probably be interested in knowing something about the breeds.
I spoke with one person who is having a breed info table. I won't be able to do that because I have to be in the livestock area with my exhibit.

Does the judging usually take place early in the show or later?

This is a new show I believe, and unfortunately I don't really know. Maybe we can get Walt to weigh in on this.

I would love to hear how the poultry show went. Unfortunately for us this overlaps with the Mendocino County Fair, and that, plus that it is multiple days during the school week, always seems to keep us from getting down there. I tried to make time to come down to spectate but it just wasn't happening. Friend of mine (non-poultry oriented :) ) says that overall it's an excellent and worthwhile event.

Hopefully someone else can fill in the gaps. Janice James' bantam Dominique pullet won best in show, plus some other classes. I think Best Large Fowl was a Marans - not sure if it was a pullet or hen. Best English went to Michele Villalovos' SG Dorking pullet or hen. I think she may have also had reserve English. Best & reserve American and reserve large fowl went to a couple of my Delaware pullets. Sorry, I don't know more.
