Reverse Java Pied & Pied Java - Page 2

LOL thats what I thought I was gonna see instaed I left there scratching my head trying to figure out where the reverse came in. I already knew they were spaulding and not java's but the reverse really through me.

I think what he is calling reverse are really silver pieds.    He for sure has no idea what he has , or is just plan trying to make more money , by calling then java pieds.   Sure he has been told they are spalding pied , on the forum ,but he deleted it ,and banned anyone who post they are spalding.

Burt what they are calling a reverse pied is a pied bird that over 50% white there is no silver pied peafowl or white-eye peafowl in Australia. I seen a few picture of what they are calling java's and the picture I have seen has been spalding so I not sure if they have any pure java's in Australia. As far as the java pied they are spalding also. He said there is no white java's so I wonder what happens to the white java's he hatches from the so call java pieds. He know what they are but when you say spalding are worth 0 dollars he would have a lot of mad peaople if he came back and said they are spalding that why he kicks everbody off his forum if they say something about them.

I find it hard to believe that there are NO silver pied or white eye peafowl in Australia.

I know its hard to import birds there.    . i found it odd he has charcoals........we do have a lot of colors and pattern they don't.   I did ship some rare color feathers over there,  some of every color other than green.

Burt Australia will not allow any bird to be imported in that why they don't have many colors. I seen on the news awhile back someone try to smuggle in two pigeon and got caught he was facing a big fine and up to 10 years in jail. What he is calling charcoal is different that the charcoals in the US.

I didn't look at many of his pics......should have known this guy would name some of his birds charcoal......understand this guy is full of it.

You are right we dont have many colours, and there is definitely no silver pied peafowl or white-eye peafowl in Australia. That is what we are struggling with here. We dont know how to separate pied blue (less than 50% white) from high % of white and we would like continue Craig Mcfawns  work  .If you are interested you can  read what and how it happened on

In Australia Indian Blue Reverse Pieds were created by Craig Mcfawn, This by no means was an easy process and it took a lifelong passion and committment to develop this mutation to what it is today.
Initially it started back in the late 60's when Mr Mcfawn hunted for the best pieds obtainable in Australia at the time. These were purchased from Peter Harris Vic.
It has taken 40 years of selectively breeding to produce what we currently know as Indian Blue Reverse Pieds.
There is no other breeder in Australia that produces a pied to the percentage of white that Craig Mcfawn does. That is just fact,
On amature forums I have noted people suggesting that there are numerous breeders of Pieds to this standard in Australia. When challenged for names and pictures none are forth comming. I personally do not know what to make of this. Are people that jealous of a mans committment to a mutation in a breed that they are incapable of recognising his contribution - probably, I am a believer of whoever devotes there entire life to furthering any colour mutation then they should be recognised.
Mr Mcfawn , due to personal circumstances has since sold out the majority of his breeding stock to "snowtime" in Vic on this forum. He is very satisfied that they will have a positive input into this mutation and continue to develop the line. Thankfully the amount of time Mr Mcfawn has contributed to creating this line wont be lost, Snowtime is an experienced breeder with incredible passion to continue the line of outstanding reverse Pieds in Australia

Next is Javanese Pieds in Au.

In Australia, Javanese Pieds were originally created by Craig Mcfawn, This mutation was developed by crossing an Indian Blue Reverse Pied Peacock over a Javanese Peacock. Upon hybridization it was found that IB Pied dominates over Javanese. It took two generations to secure quality Pied markings withing the IB/Javanese hybrid. After the second outcross Mr Mcfawn noted that the hybrid offspring were lacking the strong green neck colouring of a true Javanese coupled with the fact that old school purests felt that hybridizing such an outstanding bird being a Javanese green in its pure form was literally sacrimental he decided not to pursue this particular hybridization.
Conseqently he held onto the best of his progeny for a couple of years and then sold it ( being a cockbird) interstate to QLD.
The buyer was completly aware of its hybridization, but unfortunately has since portrayed it as being a pure Javanese Pied, which to a gulible novice is acceptable, but experienced Peafowl breeders world wide know this to be an improbability. The current owner is incapable of reproducing quality hybridized offspring, due to its genetic background, if generation breeding is pursued there will be an obvious loss in the visual pied that is offered by the 2nd generation hybridization.

Oops I think I said to much again, that is probably the reason an Australian gentleman blocked me from HIS FORUM as well. Guys I dont think he does not like Yankees he is afraid of the truth.

No silver pieds or white-eye. Wow that has to stink.
