is 102.7 to hot due to crud incubator - Page 3

If it's a still air, 102 is fine. For circulated air, 99.5 is ideal. I have had great hatches in both types of incubators so don't freak out smile

You got another LG........... roll now you will have 2X's the issues. Hatch from this batch if you can and let the DH build you something worthy of eggs which IMO the LG is not. Please throw the LG's in the trash and get your sanity back. I am sorry for your issues but wouldn't encourage keeping the LG at any rate, sorry but they are wellllll........ Chinese made to put it lightly. Good luck.

Now hold on there I own a LG and my hatch rate has been great. Some like hovas some like brinseas.to each their own.I say if it works  HATCH EM.      woot

well i have to say with the new bator the temp has stayed steady as some one said when it warmer out side it will spike but what we have found out is to run it a little cool then put blankets around it to bring up temp to desireable degree when it get to warm just peal away a little blanket and you still getting good  temps not to high or to low so at this point i have to say        celebrate      i think we got it  i hope!!!  lol

Using an LG, may the hatching fairy bless you. I sold my new LG today and ordered a new Hovabator. I personally despise the LG. Some love it! Here's to a happy, healthy hatch!love

I am going to look at my incubator for a second and see if it could be done.

Okay, I checked out my little giant and it looks like the wafer thermostat modification could be done very easy. I wanna try it so bad now. I am also wanting to put a fan in mine. I haven't used it in about a year, I checked it not too long ago and the heating worked.

I only advised you to do this, because I have an older model, and cant sell it for more than maybe 10 dollars, so I figure that if I replace the thermostat with a wafer thermostat, and a fan, than it would be as good as a hovabator. I Will have to wait to get a wafer thermostat, maybe if i could get 2 a piece for my chicks, than I could get 20 dollars, and come up with the rest doing some other job. I am anxious to try it.

In the beginning there was nothing. God said, Let there be light! And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better. Ellen DeGeneres
